GGS: Hump Day Hula Hoop Craze – series post #5

hula5This is our 5th post in our weekly Humpday Hula Hoop Craze series.  We’ve covered direction, keeping the hoop up, turning and spicing up our hooping.

Today we look at using our hands.  ‘Cause I don’t know about you, but my hands are feeling all awkward – where DO you put those suckers anyway? Well, let’s find out!

First, we’ll start with  a video that shows us some hand control basics:

And on this video, we’ll learn how to put our hands inside the hoop.

Without killing ourselves.

We hope.

Okay, so how did that one go for you?  Piece of cake? Wow, that made me hungry.  Cake sounds good… see you next week. Yum.

Um, wow! That’s pretty amazing. I made hula hoops with my daughter recently, but can’t even keep my hoop up for longer than 3 rotations. Guess with A LOT more practice maybe I could get to her level. Thanks for the videos.

I go to a park for a drum circle in DC every Sunday and there are these amazing hula hoop dancers with amazing style and fluidity! I am always so envious!
