GoGirl GIVEAWAY and review-CLOSED

When I found out that we were getting the GoGirl sanitary urinating apparatus to review I was so excited – yes, really, I was! I have such a small bladder, so when we go on road trips my poor husband often has to pull over so I can find a tree to hide behind. Also, we camp frequently every summer and you ladies know that sometimes squatting and tying not to spray your shoes or pants is very challenging! So when asked if I would try the GoGirl out and give my opinion on it I jumped at the opportunity.
When I first saw the size of the container it came in I was quite surprised how small and compact it is – very easy to slip in my purse. And I have to say, the packaging that GoGirl has come up with is just too cool and fun! It comes with a small bag to dispose of it once you are done, or you can reuse it – according to the instructions it can be safely cleaned and used again.
The first time I tried it was over my own toilet. I stood like a guy facing the toilet – and had a giggle because I was facing the mirror and saw myself standing like a man with a pink penis - I had to laugh! But in my giggly state I didn’t read the instructions before trying it so at first I didn’t place it far back enough – oops! After reading the directions I tried it again. This time I placed it a bit further back and found that it worked perfectly. It was that easy! I would totally use this – it is PERFECT for outdoors or even in the car for long road trips and when there is no where to pull over. (tip: read the instructions and for best results I would just make sure that wherever you are not looking at yourself in a mirror and giggly wildly…hee hee!)
I asked my 10 1/2 year old daughter if she would try the GoGirl. She was wondering what it was and when I showed her at first she said, “No way I am not trying that, that’s gross”. I told her that it will be great for when we are camping or on road trips. But I didn’t want to pressure her if she didn’t feel comfortable with it. Sure enough a few minutes later she came back to me and said that she would try it but I wasn’t allowed to watch. She had a go, literally, and found that it leaked around the sides. But I don’t think this was a matter of size so much as that she wasn’t holding it up properly. So before a child tries it, I think they need to be shown how to use it.
Use the GoGirl camping, skiing, hiking, on road trips and definitely for traveling to other countries where sanitation is an issue. Want more information? Go to Go-girl.com.
Bottom line:I would definitely buy the GoGirl. I will keep one in the car and one in my purse. As their motto says, I don’t have to take life sitting down!
