Fresh Air Fund-Racers Team looking for runners and sponsors

Girls, here’s a great idea for getting fit while giving back!
Would you like to run this year’s New York City Half-Marathon on August 16th while also helping Fresh Air Fund children? The Fresh Air Fund is looking for runners and sponsors to join our Fresh Air Fund-Racers team.
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income communities. Last summer, close to 5,000 children visited volunteer host families in suburbs and small town communities across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada. Most children who visit host families are re-invited year after year and form life-long friendships.
Joining the Fresh Air Fund-Racers team is a great way to participate in NYC’s premier summer road race while helping Fresh Air Fund children.
If you would like to register, please visit click here! If you have additional questions or are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Kate at runners@freshair.org or call (800) 367-0003 ext. 8890.
Last summer’s NYC Half-Marathon was a huge success and the Fresh Air Fund-Racers raised more than $125,000. We are also still in need of Friendly Town hosts for next month. Host families open their hearts and home to a NYC child who would not otherwise have the opportunity to escape the hot, crowded city streets. Contact Kate above for more info.

I’m happy to spread the word about this, too. Hooray for Fresh Air!
That’s a really cool program – I didn’t even know it existed. I’ll help spread the word.
I did this race last year and had a ball!
