I’m one of those women who believes I can never have enough accessories. My husband, however, doesn’t feel the same way. It seems he believes he should get to use more than one little corner of our walk-in closet.  He’s always saying I have too much “stuff”.

Stuff? What stuff!?  Every single accessory I have is vital to at least one outfit, and sometimes two or three – which I think is a prudent use of accessories, no? And it’s not as if they are strewn all over…I have them all organized: necklaces, earrings, rings, scarves, sunglasses, hats. And of all the accessories I own I love my jewelry best; jewelry gives any outfit a unique personality of its own and it needn’t be expensive to create a dramatic effect.

Jewelry makes a statement about who you are, and how you are feeling that day. Take yesterday, for example. Yesterday I wore my favorite pair of hoop earrings and a simple necklace and I felt energetic and motivated to do some cleaning.  The good energy even flowed through to my husband, who was quite excited about the rare sight of his wife cleaning  – that is, until he saw that I cleaned out the closet and threw out all his raggedy t-shirts.

I told him to look on the bright side – now I’ve got room to hang another rack for my necklaces and earrings!
