GGS Readers’ Choice Cutest Dog Contest-ROCKY is the winner!

Okay, so at first when we thought of doing a “cutest dog” contest, we thought: what the heck do dogs have to do with inspiring women? But the more we thought about it, the more it became clear that for those of us women who have dogs, they truly are a source of love, friendship, empathy and laughter.  I know that my little guy, Black Jack is a true sweetheart and I wouldn’t be the same without him.

Did you know nearly half of all American dog owners say they could not live without their dog on a daily basis – more than their morning cup of coffee (35%), television (35%), driving their car (26%), cell phone (23%) or even best friend (15%).

So here we are.  Our first annual Girlgetstrong Readers’ Choice Cutest Dog Contest. And we’re so excited! The contest is sponsored by WANT A COOKIE CO- Pawsitively the best dog cookies on the planet!

What a great idea…

We recently learned about the website WagWorld .  It is a site where dog lovers can find and share new dog-friendly places to visit with their dogs, write reviews, upload pictures and pass along posts to friends and family.  How cool is that?!  WagWorld was created to celebrate the relationship between dog owners and their best friends so they can discover dog-friendly places – anywhere in the U.S.
