Susan:
I have been having a bit of trouble…well let’s not lie; a LOT of trouble trying to lose the last 10 pounds. So when we were asked if we would review this program, I jumped at the opportunity. I have always wanted to learn to Latin dance, and trying this DVD for the first time shows me that I will learn just that and more!
The DVD is called CORE Rhythms, and it comes with a 7 day diet guide. I have taken a look at this program and it seems pretty straightforward like others; exercise and eating right. It also comes with a chart that you chart your now measurements and your measurements 8 weeks later. I am starting this program as of this morning.
An example of what Erica and I will be eating today is as follows;
BREAKFAST- 2 egg omelet with veggies and meat
SNACK- ½ cup of berries, ½ cup of fat free cottage cheese
LUNCH – 3-4 oz. Grilled white meat (skinless chicken or turkey), 2 cups vegetables (raw or steamed), 1 tbsp vinaigrette
SNACK- ½ cup fat free cottage cheese, 6-8 unsalted almonds
DINNER – 3-4 oz. White fish (cod, halibut, mahi-mahi), 2 cups steamed broccoli drizzle with ½ tbsp olive oil, ½ cup brown rice
There are four different DVD’s with this program they are Latin Dance made easy, quick workout , kick start, and full workout.
Now doesn’t that sound easy and fun to do?
Well, stay tuned to see how both Erica and I get along with this program. We shall be reporting every Thursday for 8 weeks.
Erica:
I am so excited to begin my journey with the Core Rhythms Workout Plan. I have already tried out their workout video (which made me realize core muscles that I didn’t even know I had existed). To charge up my weight loss I am about to embark on the associated food plan as well. The Core Rhythm folks claim that I will loose multiple dress sizes within the 8 week program if I follow it exactly as it’s laid out….. so hopefully I will look like Jennifer Aniston when all is said and done. Well, ok, the program doesn’t provide wrinkle remover or a boob lift….so, I might not look exactly like Jennifer Aniston….but hopefully I will look like a new and improved me.
So far I really like the way the plan is laid out and the straightforward approach that the Core Rhythms gang has used. It all fits together nicely, is easy to follow and appears to make a lot of sense in terms of the fundamentals across eating and exercise. It’s really based on the fundamentals that we all know we should do in terms of healthy eating…but, for some strange reason we need someone to lay it out on a glossy, colorful chart before we actually follow it.
I suspect that the assertions on weight loss are true but like any other plan it will be directly related to how closely and how long I can stay focused. Fast results always are nice to get things rolling so I am excited to get going.
I am excited for you all to follow me on my weight loss journey. It’s always way harder to quit when you have an audience….oops, I mean, I don’t plan on quitting or anything….well, you know what I mean
