Every winter dry cold weather plays mean tricks on my skin. It doesn’t help that as a runner I’m spending a lot of time outside in that weather with bare legs, face and arms.  So when I was asked to review Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 I asked – “OMGosh how did you know about my alligator skin?”

I don’t know much about the technical side of moisturizers, so I’ll let the professionals describe this new product to you:

I might not be up on all the scientific lingo that the experts use, but I’ve used Vaseline’s “Mineral Renewal” Body Lotion for a few weeks now and I really like it. (Visit Vaseline’s Sheer Infusion website for more info.)

First of all, it works. My skin is no longer scaly and is now smooth and soft (so now when I pass other runners I only have to worry about blinding them with my snow white winter skin, lol).

The second thing I like about it is that it is NOT GREASY!  There’s nothing I hate more than a greasy film left on the top of my skin after applying moisturizers. Only slimy skin is worse than scaly skin, lol!

Last, but definitely not least, the deal maker for me is that the fragrance is subtle and mild.  I am very sensitive to strong smells and many a moisturizer has been chucked in the garbage when I find myself smelling like a giant field of flowers and the stink follows me around all day.

Oh, and a funny story: one of the husbands (of us GGS girls) has been using the “botanical blend” bottle (I can’t name names for fear of my life after revealing this to you, lol).  Like me, he suffers from dry skin and he’s confiscated the bottle for his own use.  He’s not really the flowery type of guy, so you know that the botanical blends complex is NOT an overwhelming scent either.
