Review: O3mega+ Joy

O3mega+ Joy has been a life-saver for me.
Winters have always been tough for me. For as long as I can remember I have had winter lulls where I just don’t want to get up in the morning. When I do finally drag my butt out of bed (after 10 hours of sleep) my body feels heavy, my head feels cloudy; it’s as though I could fall back to sleep while standing up – and this lasts all day! Even at work and while driving – and yes I have hit a few things (no one has ever got hurt but lets just say my garage and I are not friends).
My exhaustion is so strong that the mere thought of putting on my gym clothes – let alone running or exercising – is overwhelming, even though logically I know being active will make me feel better.
Last year I spent my first winter living in Vancouver after moving from Edmonton. As the days began to get shorter and darker I started to take large amounts of my favorite winter friend vitamin D, which in the past had seemed to help somewhat. Nothing happened. I was still tired and unmotivated. Now I should mention that I do live a fairly healthy lifestyle. We eat lots of fresh organic fruits and veggies, we “try” to avoid white sugar and prepared food (buts let’s face it with young kids it’s tougher than it used to be) and we eat lots of healthy fats. I don’t expect to feel tired like this.
I had noticed the O3mega+ Joy in a few stores but due to the comparatively high price I avoided it. It costs a lot more than a bottle of vitamin D. Instead, I tried Ginko biloba, Salmon oil, chocolate, Kava Kava, chocolate, Melatonin, chocolate and of course lots of lattes. The only thing that was happening was my pants were getting tighter, which is another wonderful side affect of SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
Finally I bought O3mega+ Joy and within 5 days I started to notice minor changes. I was not as tired during the day and early evening. My mood began to change and I was able to talk with my children instead of yelling. I slowly started feel like me again instead of a tired old woman with PMS. Two weeks later I was feeling better – and happier – than I had in months and I was even back exercising. I continued to take O3mega+Joy well into the spring.
This year I picked up a couple of bottles of O2mega+Joy during my back-to-school shopping in the fall. For me, they’re more than worth it. Now don’t get me wrong I am still going to bed earlier than during the summer months and on long stretches of grey rainy Vancouver days you’ll still find me checking housing prices in Maui. But taking the Joy makes me feel a lot better than when I am not taking it.
Pros:
- I feel happier
- I have more energy
- There’s no fishy taste
Cons:
- The biggest drawback is the price.

Note: Genuine Health originally supplied GGS with a bottle of O3mega+ Joy for review. However, since I am currently taking the Greens+ energy, I put off taking the Joy - I didn’t feel that I could give an honest review about the O3mega + Joy – how would I tell whether it was the Joy or the leftover effect of the Greens + Energy if I felt good? Then over brunch one morning, my friend Carol mentioned that she currently takes the O3mega+ Joy. I asked her if she would be willing to write a review of it with her honest opinion and she agreed. Carol was not given any free samples or paid for the review (sorry girl!). Once I’ve finished my current jar of the Energy, I’ll be testing the Joy too. ~ Melanie

Sounds very interesting. I have already cut back on supplements/vitamins due to $$ so I bet I would not be able to afford this but I am going to check it out at my local health store anyway to see if they have it. I will price it out.
That’s interesting – my sister takes it too. She swears by it. I’ve never tried it myself.
