Review-Vivvos Brazilian inspired under?wear

Yes, we are going there! Where? Under there…yes, I mean under your workout gear.
Sian says….
When I first saw these Vivvos under?wear, I was delighted with the bright colors and on just how soft the material was. So I had to take them to the test and wear them to the gym to see how they would wear. I tried the boy-short style and passed the thong to Melanie.
When I first tried them on I thought that they were too small. I checked the size and yes, they were a medium and that is the size of all my undergarments. So with a bit of adjusting I realized that they were not suppose to go all the way to the bottom of my buttocks. When I workout I usually go for the full buttock coverage, so I was a bit concerned. BUT, my goodness they felt great. And there were no ’panty lines’! No riding up, no riding in, no adjusting at all. I would have taken a picture of it, but I thought I would save you that view….hey, this is already a lot to take in, I know! Oh yes, I would have to say that I did feel pretty sexy in these undies and my hubby thought so too!
Melanie says…
When Sian asked me what size underwear I wore, I wondered if I should slap her. I mean, we’re great friends, but there’s a line, you know?! But then she hastily explained it was all in the name of work…working out, that is. Now I have to say that I never thought I’d be talking about the underwear I work out in. But here we are. After four kids I’m pretty hard to embarrass. So I’ll admit that yes, I work out in a thong. My way of thinking is that the less underwear I wear, the less chance that it can chafe me on a 13+ mile run, right?
So when Sian gave me the little bag and I opened it up I was absolutely delighted to see the fun, flirty thong…but then I was immediately worried. Could that pretty little thing actually hold up during my runs and other workouts?
Sometimes I think we have the best job ever. We get to try out all sorts of neat products and tell you what we think of them. How fun is that! And I have to say, so far, we’ve been really lucky. We really haven’t tested any “bad” products (knock on wood) although I’m sure we will at some point. And you’ll be the first to hear about it, in detail. But the Vivvos under?wear didn’t disappoint.
The underwear stood up really well – on my first run, I totally forgot all about it for most of the time. That is, until one of my friends asked me what I was reviewing for the website this week. And then I remembered. At the time, we were running in a big group of women and since I’m not in the habit of sharing my underwear-ing habits with everyone (until now), I whispered to her about my underwear. I needn’t have tried to be quiet, though, because my friend exclaimed “you’re testing out a THONG? NOW?” and you can imagine the looks and giggles that ensued….I’m just grateful that no one tripped, and yes, I was forced to lift a little corner of it above my capris to show this curious gaggle of women who couldn’t believe I could be wearing something sexy to work out in.
Anyway, I’ve worn the thong now for three runs, for a bike workout and during my upper body weight-lifting workout. When it is time to grab my underwear in the morning, the fun, flirty design draws my eye every time and these are the pair I grab – they are just so cheerful and pretty. They brighten up my day! Better yet, they are totally functional and have no lace or bits to bug me. They are sweat-wicking too so it is a HUGE bonus to be able to change into workout clothes mid way through the day and not have to worry about what’s on underneath.
I’ve also heard that the boy shorts are good for running in too if you want a little more support for the ‘cheeks’ – I haven’t tested the boy shorts out myself though. Yet.
If you are checking out the Vivvos website, there are also the prettiest bras and camisoles (you can wear one under a jacket out at night). You will not want to keep them covered up!
Pros:
- Fun
- Flirty
- Functional
- Sexy!
- Yes, you really can work out in them!
Cons:
- If you are a woman who prefers more coverage, the thong and boyshort styles may not be for you.
