So you're testing oral and urine pH? Even though saliva is highly acidic, and urine contains all sorts of glucuronidated and alkylated and oxidised and otherwise metabolised output of the kidneys, whose sole function it is to alter the pH of organic input?

I watched the doctor's video, and i'm not certain that he is controlling properly for those variables. Little changes like how much sleep you got, whether you're hungry or not, and natural hormone fluctuations are going to cause those numbers to fluctuate wildly daily, and hourly.

If you could safely and cost effectively test your blood pH, you might see a more accurate number, but deviation from 7.4 throughout the entire body is normal.

It's nice to see someone take their diet seriously but don't deprive yourself of foods you love or are generally healthy unless you can determine for a fact that they are affecting your actual body pH, not two data points in areas that are traditionally not pH 7.4, nor do they need to be.

Good luck!

Thanks Karyn! I have to say, if my 'ladies' would look like that cake, I'd quit sugar and rum and cokes forever! Instead I use a good push up bra, lol!

Hey Melanie,
Congratulations! You're doing so well on the pH-front. Do not get down on your levels whatsoever! Most adults are about 7.0. on the scale...
Be sure to drink your greens+ daily, especially after long training runs to soak-up the free radical damage exercise can cause. Try any greens+ formula, add protein powder, berries/banana, water or juice....
Thanks for the posts, and look forward to reading more!

Oh! rum and coke would be my downfall for sure. But, since my hubby quit drinking, I don't drink at all anymore either so that temptation is gone. Slowly I am learning that how is feel is so much better than a mini donut and that makes it so much easier to resist.

P.S--my boobs don't look like that either! :)

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the support and I'm really excited to be eating healthier. Yes, it's definitely hard, but oh, so worth it!
