Champion Toning Shoes Review

We are continuing our “toning’ shoe ultimate show down on the pros and cons of all of these shaping shoes, wellness shoes or whatever the heck you want to call them.  And, most importantly, do they actually work?  I would say the shoes that have got the most hype is the Skechers Shape Ups.  But, we found a pair that look so similar to them but way way way cheaper and that is the Champion Pace Toning Shoes.  Will these shoes feel and work like the Skechers Shape Ups?

Once I had these shoes in my hand, they really did feel like the Skechers Shape Ups.  They were approximately the same weight and had the same platform sole.  I did however, find that they were a bit bland with being ALL white and no color at all on them.  They were very plain looking shoes, almost like the old ‘nurse shoes’.  Once I had tried them on, they really did feel just like the Skechers Shape Ups as well.  I even tried one of each shoe on either feet.  No difference at all.  I hit the pavement to see if I would get the same sort of feeling I got from the Shape Ups when I did the review which was:

When I slipped them on to go out, I noticed right away that they were so comfortable.  I am not talking about the comfort of my normal trainers but even more so.  They felt like you were walking on air, well almost air.  Maybe air cushion is a better description.  They were the most comfortable shoe I have ever tried on.

While walking with the Skechers on, you feel almost like a rocking sensation.  It was not a weird or strange feeling.  It felt very natural and almost like I had more of a bounce to my step.    I have worn these several times for walking and doing everyday errands.  They was no breaking in period for me. Comfort from the get go.  I do believe that these shoes are working more muscles than walking with regular shoes on, hence you will burn more calories.  I could feel different muscles in my calves, hamstrings and glutes working harder.  They would be great for taking long walks, doing chores and even standing in them.

I really noticed no difference at all with these shoes!

Note: To feel the muscles work harder, you need to power walk with them on!  I noticed no difference from doing regular chores.

But, sorry girlfriends, these will not MAKE  you lose weight just by walking in them.  Cardio, weight training and eating right are still key.   Champion does have a whole line of different shapes and styles of this collection, all at very reasonable prices.

Just bought the black Champion Pace fitness shoe…and gotta say they sure have out paced any knock off I have tried…I feel that I do wear shoes out quickly because I live in an urban city and walk a lot while I am working and having fun…I would have bought two, but the store only had one in my size…

Firstly, I am not a woman. I do use the shoes to strengthen my legs while walking I notice that these have actually strengthened my ankles. Since they are black I can wear them on a daily basis to work.I have worn them almost all the time since I got them a month ago. They are holding up pretty well and unlike my other shoes prior to these I am not showing wear on just certain parts of the sole. It feels like it may have fixed my step and I am quite happy. Today will be the first day I try them on a treadmill.

I want everyone to know that these shoes suck! They are made to cause unbalancing to tone your legs. In the process of being “unbalanced” you will roll your ankles all the time. I used them everyday and rolled my ankles at least twice a day. I kept trying them to see if it would get better and ended up icing more than walking. The bottoms of the shoes are NOT like cushions at all. If you are looking for a Shape-up knock off. Go try on the real ones first then compare other brands. Shape ups are more expensive but the bill from the doctor is bigger. These shoes need more cushion than they provide. DO NOT BUY THESE unless you want sprained ankles or worse!

I have been debating what shape ups to get for awhile now. I recently saw Champions for 30$ at payless. I was so excited. I bought them and today was my first time wearing them. Walking to work i can already feel it in my legs. I got the Normal Pair of shoes not the ones that are real high like the above picture. They look normal and are actually cute. Its like walking on a cushion and different to walk in but i can feel the sore areas in my legs already. I can tell how they will tone my legs up. I love them already!!

Just looking for reviews on the Champion Tone Up shoes.
Thinking about getting me a pair and some for a friend.

    Need your input on them?..

Thank you so much for the comparason of the Champion Pace Fitness Shoes and Sketcher Body Shapers. I could not quite justify a $100.00 pair of walking shoes, but I love my Champions…thanks to your review, I don’t feel like I am missing anything by having the Champion shoes as opposed to the Sketchers.

I purchased the Champion Toning shoes and would highly recommend others to give them a try. They are extremely comfortable and I can feel my muscles working more. Also, a personal advantage for me is that the shoes provide extra support and actually relieve my calves from cramping during and after 2-3 mile walks each day, unlike my previous walking shoes.

I’m leaning toward buying the Sketchers myself. Your review may have just pushed me over the edge!

  14. I have read a lot of different opinions online about these type of shoes. Heck, it you want to wear them I like them, more power to ya but your last statement is so true. No replacement for eating well & exercising!
