The Rhonda Shear Ahh Bra…It’s reportedly the “number one selling bra in the world.”Now that’s a big claim!
Never one to care about the media spin, I put the Rhonda Shear Ahh Bra to the true test: running and biking.
I am the perfect tester, for a few reasons: First, my um, girls, aren’t small. (I need a bra with support, but I hate underwire. I like comfort and function, but I want it to look cute.)
Second reason I’m a good tester: I’ve breastfed four kids. Yup, four.
What does this mean? Well, think…coverage. I need superior coverage to conceal the pointy bits. And that’s on a warm day. Watch out, otherwise.
Third reason I’m a good bra tester: I work out. Hard. I run….and bounce. I ride…and lean over. I sweat in my bras. (Yup, I sweat.)
I am hard on my bras and they like it that way.
Back to the Ahh bra…My first impression about the bra was that it is a great colour and very cute! However, it is not technically a “sports bra”, so while the fabric is spandex-y, it doesn’t seems to be sweat-wicking. Which is a shame, because I really like this bra. (Rhonda Shear, make note: if you make this bra sweat-wicking, this bra would be better than perfect!)
The bra is very stretchy and incredibly comfortable. I would sleep in this bra, and that’s saying something because I do not sleep in one. Ever.
I was surprised that the bra was easy to get on and off, especially given the fact that there isn’t a fastener. Or straps. I like the removable pads, the colour and the comfort. I love that it is seamless.
The bra held up great, on my runs and also on my rides. It didn’t chafe, which was a huge plus.
It washes well, I hang mine to dry, and did not test it in the dryer.
Huge thumbs up on this bra, would only be better if they made it out of sweat-wicking material.
I can see why its the number one selling bra in the world. Good job, Rhonda Shear. I can’t wait to get my hands on more. Check it out at RhondaShear.com
