<p>According to <a href="http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/05/khloe-kardashian-weight-loss-diet" rel="nofollow">RadarOnline</a>, the reality star has been training with her husband, NBA star Lamar Odom, as he gets in his best shape to hopefully get traded from the Dallas Mavericks at the end of the season.  She was training 4-5 hours per day with her husband and than doing additional stair climbing on her own.</p>
<p>The <em>Khloe &amp; Lamar</em> and <em>Keeping Up with the Kardashians</em> star, who is 5’ 10”, has also been eating healthy thanks to a personal chef.</p>
<p>“She eats mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, with small amounts of lean proteins like fish and chicken,” Robbie Davis, the couple’s trainer, told the magazine, The Gloss reports. ”She trains like an athlete when she’s with us, even doing weight training. We also run the canyons surrounding their house. Plus she does pilates and stair-running on her own.”</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the couple has just cleared up many rumors that they’re ending their E! reality show. They say instead of the show getting canceled, as reported, they’re taking a break for the summer to focus on other things.</p>
<p><em>What do you think of this story?  I think this type of weight loss is too drastic.  Its one thing if you are a professional athlete but for the rest of us, this type of training is just not realistic nor, in my opinion, healthy.</em></p>

<p>You’re conscientious about your health, so of course you try to avoid obvious bad habits &#8212; like pimple-popping &#8212; and do everything right. But sometimes you can do your skin and pearly whites more harm than good, without even knowing it. Here, five things that <em>sound</em> like good skin and oral health practices &#8212; and why they really aren’t.</p>
<h4>Bad Habit No. 1: You wash your face every morning and evening.</h4>
<p>For people with oily (or even combination) skin, twice-daily washing is probably the best approach. But if you have dry skin, that may be too much. Dry types should wash with a gentle cleanser in the evening and just splash the face with water in the morning. And even oily skin types need to be careful. “Over-washing can remove too much oil, leading to a paradoxical response from your body to overproduce oil,” explains Dr. Joshua Zeichner, director of cosmetic and clinical research in the dermatology department at New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital. “And that can actually lead to breakouts.”</p>
<h4>Bad Habit No. 2: You stick to the same skin care regimen.</h4>
<p>It’s a good idea to be consistent with your skin care. But you also have to be ready to adapt. “In areas where winter weather is dry and cold, you may need to switch to products that are gentler,” recommends Zeichner. Swap out your foaming cleanser or soap for a hydrating cream cleanser, and upgrade from a light lotion to a thicker moisturizer.</p>
<h4>Bad Habit No. 3: You only moisturize when your skin feels dry.</h4>
<p>Moisturizers do more than just hydrate. They also help repair your skin’s barrier so that it doesn’t get as easily irritated by cold, heat, and lack of humidity, so all skin types can benefit from a daily dose of the right cream or lotion. Look for an oil-free formula if you have oily skin, or a heavier one that contains petrolatum if you have dry skin. Of course, everyone can benefit from a moisturizer that contains at least SPF 30, even in winter.</p>
<h4>Bad Habit No. 4: You assume more is better.</h4>
<p>“Sometimes combinations of products complement each other. But often layering on too many lotions, serums and creams just causes irritation,” says Zeichner. His advice: Check the ingredient labels on your products and don’t combine those that contain retinol, alpha-hydroxy acids, salicylic acid, vitamin C or benzoyl peroxide.</p>
<h4>Bad Habit No. 5: You brush your teeth just twice (or once!) a day.</h4>
<p>Yes, you need to brush every morning and every night. But if you routinely drink liquids that can easily stain your teeth (like coffee and red wine), it’s a good idea to brush quickly afterwards. If that’s not convenient, dentists recommend at least swishing some water around in your mouth so that staining liquids don’t have a chance to take hold.</p>

<p>But now the battle begins. And no, we&#8217;re not talking about the sleepless nights and the poopy diapers and the need for giant post-natal underwear. We are talking about that $3 million contract Papa Simpson negotiated with Weight Watchers in December. Jessica, it&#8217;s time to hit the treadmill. There is no room for maternity leave OR mom jeans when you are employed by Simpson Family Inc.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Price of Beauty,&#8221; indeed.</p>
<p>(Yes, I am the only person in America who actually watched that show. I could say it was work related but let&#8217;s be honest, I&#8217;ll watch anything Jessica Simpson does on TV. The woman has no filter and that is reality TV gold.)</p>
<p><a href="http://girlgetstrong.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Jessica2.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-5921" title="Jessica celebrity" src="http://girlgetstrong.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Jessica2.jpg" alt="" width="87" height="140" /></a>While it seems cruel and unusual to burden a new mother with the additional pressure of losing her baby weight so publicly, we look forward to seeing Jess handle it with her usual charmingly Southern aplomb: &#8220;No more fried Twinkies, y&#8217;all! My Daisy Dukes are waiting!&#8221;</p>
<p>Anyway, there&#8217;s no shame in being on Weight Watchers in our weight-obsessed culture. Jennifer Hudson looks amazing. Valerie Bertinelli put her 20-year-old self to shame in that green bikini on the cover of People. And Mariah Carey, of all people, created a pop culture &#8220;moment&#8221; (as she likes to say) with those crazy skin-baring Jenny &#8212; that&#8217;s Jenny Craig for you old-schoolers &#8212; commercials she did after giving birth to her twins. Red spandex pants aside, Mariah looks fantastic.</p>
<p>We can only imagine what Joe Simpson is cooking up for Jessica&#8217;s Big Reveal, but we&#8217;ll be along for the ride (what, no reality show?!). And besides that $3 million, there&#8217;s another pretty good motivator at stake: First comes love, then comes baby, and then comes the bride.</p>
<p><em>I think we should just lay off Jessica and let her enjoy her new baby.  The weight will come off in time, not over night.  What do you think?</em></p>

<p>“I’m a big fan of a lot of different movements,” Gunnar told us at Under Armour‘s fashion launch in Los Angeles Feb. 20, adding, “[I do] big sequences back to back spliced with high intensity cardio stuff, which could be anything from a rower, to a stair climber, to a treadmill.”</p>

Take a look at what you might do during one of his 60-minute sessions. Keep in mind, you’re not supposed to stop at all in between each exercise. (Impossible!)</p>
<p>–Dumbbell squat press (Use 5-10 pound weights. Repetitions vary on fitness level.)<br />
–Turkish sit ups. (Use a kettle ball. Make sure the straight leg stays on the floor; do not let the foot rise off. Keep the arm straight up toward the ceiling and when in the sit up position, keep the arm close to your head with bicep close to ear. When returning to the floor do not let the arm drift back over your head. Do about 6-8 repetitions and change sides.)<br />
–Beat ropes for 30 seconds<br />
–Run on the treadmill at an incline set anywhere between 5-20 percent, and go for at least 30-90 seconds<br />
–Regular crunches<br />
–Do hip ridges on a stability ball</p>
<p>–More crunches, only this time pull the ball in with your heels, engaging your hamstrings.</p>
<p>Before you even have time to wring out your sweat rag, repeat the sequence.</p>
<p>Gunnar is the first to point out that you’ll never see results if you don’t follow a healthy diet and get to the gym on a regular basis. “One thing I hear about everybody is ‘I don’t have time to work out,’” he says. “But you DO have time to work out. You’re foolish not to make that time because when you’re working out, what you’re doing with that time serves everything else in your life.”</p>
