Most people expect Britney to share a dance workout or perhaps a couple of core strength exercises that contributed to her tight abs but no, although she did visit the gym regularly with the help and guidance of a personal trainer, she says that her toned abs is owed to yoga. Britney Spears does yoga twice a week with Elizabeth, the owner of EQI Yoga Studio located in Los Angeles. Britney allocates roughly 60 to 90 minutes per session and doing a combination of yoga poses.
So let’s get down to it. You’ll need a yoga mat. You should also perform each workout in this order and then repeat it all 3 times if you can.
Boat – This Exercise Works on Your Legs and Your Core
In this pose you need to sit up straight with your both your knees bent and your arms extended at the level of your chest in front of you with your palms turned facing each other. Then you need to sit back until you can feel that you are abs are engaging and slowly and carefully lift your feet until both your shins are parallel to the floor. For advanced yogis you can extend your legs at 45-degrees angle. Hold this position for three deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling through your nose. Have at least five counts for each and then slowly lower your feet towards the floor. Resting period is only 30 seconds and then repeat the cycle again for two more times.
Crescent Lunge – This Exercise Will Work on Your Butt and Legs
Start this workout with both your feet together and your arms extended at your sides, your palms facing your thighs. Take a giant leap forward with your left knee and left leg bent while keeping your right leg extended and your heel elevated. Extend your arms above your head and press your hands together. Hold this position for five to ten breaths and then repeat the step with the other leg.
Warrior II – This Exercise Will Work on Your Shoulders and Legs
Start this workout by standing and bringing your feet together with both your arms extended at the sides. Take a giant step forward using your left leg; carefully turn your right foot out so that the right arch is aligned with your left heel. Bend your left knee, lift your arms to your shoulder level out to the sides and look over your fingertips. Hold this position for five breaths and then do the same for the other foot and repeat the cycle.
Bow – This Exercise Will Strengthen Your Back, Your Abs, Your Shoulders, Your Chest and Your Legs
To begin this workout you need to lie with your face down and your legs hip-width apart while your arms are extended at the sides. Breath in and bend your knees as you slowly reach the hands behind you. Grasp the outside part of your ankles as you do. Breath e out and press your ankles against your hands as you lift your thighs. Hold this position for around five breaths and then go back to a standing position.
Camel – This Exercise Will Help Strengthen Your Arms and Shoulders
Kneel down with your legs hip-width apart and then slowly arch your back and reach for your right heel using your right hand and your left heel using your left hand. Slowly lift your chest, move your hips forward and then drop your head back down. Hold this position for five to ten breaths. Reverse everything to go back to your original position.
