Sometimes, despite your best efforts to go for regular runs, gym sessions and eat healthily you still feel tired in the evenings and can’t easily spring out of bed in the morning. Here are some ways a healthy lifestyle can go wrong.

1 / Too Much Cardio

If you do a lot of cardio, sometimes this can cause your muscles to get quite tight and eventually not build at all. Gaining muscle is a good goal for those looking to lose weight, because while your weight on the scales won’t change, your fat burning is most certainly a healthy step.

2 / Lack of Sleep – How to Fall Asleep in 60 Seconds

Did you know there is a technique that works for some people to put them under in just 60 seconds? Get to sleep faster with this technique and start you 8 hours of sleep earlier.

The technique is called the 4-7-8 breathing method and is something I learned from Andy Murray, who I hope will become the BBC Sports Personality of the Year this year. With William Hill sports betting he is at 7/1 at the moment but I think his chances of winning are much better. I think Andy deserves to win because of the effort he put into the Davis Cup. No one can doubt Murray’s determination to win the historic trophy for Britain.

Andy Murrays technique for improving sleep:

You start by 1) Exhaling completely through your mouth, 2) Closing your mouth you then inhale through your nose while counting to four, 3) you then hold your breath for seven seconds and 4)  exhale completely through your mouth, while counting to eight then 5) breathe again and repeat the cycle.

If you’ve watched the Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary on Netflx, you’ve no doubt immediately ran out to buy a juicer to make those green smoothies and lose weight.

4 / More Variety in Your Protein Sources

5 / Efficient Gym Sessions

Rather than a weights session at the gym that takes you two hours to complete, hit the heavier weights for 30 minutes and go home, grab something healthy to eat and get to bed.
