We know for a fact that celebrities have a world of their own. These are not ordinary people and so it makes a whole lot of sense if they follow weird and out of this world eating plans.

True enough, their popularity, fame and quite possibly their fortune depend on how they look and how they carry themselves.

So it doesn’t come as a surprise if they follow weird diet plans just so they can maintain their good looks.

From eating baby food to exclusively eating yellow food on certain days of the week to going gluten-free, these are just some of the crazy eating plans these celebrities are practicing and what’s funny is that despite how ludicrous it sounds, some people are actually considering it.

Here are some of the craziest food plans celebrities are following to make them look the way they do now.

Beyoncé’s Master Cleanse Diet

Beyoncé followed the Master Cleanse diet so she can shed a couple of pounds to prepare for her role in “Dreamgirls”.

This diet consists of eating nothing other than drinking lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. The concept is that it helps detox your system and speeds up weight loss.

Our verdict? The truth is, our bodies are designed to naturally rid ourselves from toxins and so if it’s detox you’re after, well it’s safe to say that you don’t really need it that much.

Our kidneys work to filter our blood so whatever waste comes from our diet gets excreted. Our liver, on the other hand, works to detoxify any form of chemical we ingest through our diet.

When your kidneys and your liver are in tip-top shape it means your body has the capacity to naturally cleanse itself of toxins. So if you were to ask us, squeezing lemons and starving yourself is not worth it and it’s not healthy.

Reese Witherspoon’s Baby Food Diet

The Baby Food Diet involves consuming a total of fourten jars of baby food and you can have the option to add an actual meal provided that it is low in calorie every day.

Our verdict? We’re not too convinced because a jar of baby food contains a total of 80 calories and so if you consume 14 jars a day you’ll get approximately a little over 1000 calories plus an additional low calorie meal as long as it doesn’t go beyond 400 calories.

Well you can still achieve this calorie count without tormenting yourself with mashed baby food. Instead of baby food you can opt for a grilled fish or lean meat plus veggies sautéed in garlic infused olive oil.

It’s tasty, it’s delicious and you get the same number of calories. But if you don’t have the time to prepare actual meals then go ahead with the baby food. They are convenient and ready to eat.

Sam Smith With Amelia Freer’s Help

Soon after Sam Smith went to the stage to collect his awards at the Grammy’s he started losing weight and he was active on Instagram to chronicle the whole thing.

He owes his body transformation to his nutritional therapist Amelia Freer who made him work out consistently while training him to eat lots of fruits, fresh vegetables, seafoods and lean meats.

During his diet program he also abstained from ice cream and pastries.

Our verdict? Absolutely but if it gets too extreme for you, you can always tweak it a bit and make a lighter version.

Experts say that you should aim to lose two to three pounds a week and not a pound a day. Based on Sam Smith’s diet plan, we think it’s absolutely okay.

Taylor Swift’s Chia Seeds

Taylor Swift is just one of the many celebrities who have chia seeds to thank for their weight loss. Chia seeds are super tiny seeds that have a grayish color.

These seeds come from the chia flower which is native to Guatemala and southern Mexico.

Our verdict? Chia seeds are indeed effective and they’re healthy as well since they are loaded with protein, fiber and B vitamins.

However, when it comes to weight loss we aren’t that convinced because as far as slimming goes, two tablespoons of chia seeds is actually equivalent to a total of 140 calories and that’s more or less the same with a jar of flavored yogurt.

Some people add chia seeds to their smoothie bowl but what they are actually doing is adding more calories to their smoothie.

Celebrities do go out of their way to stay slim to the point that they’d experiment with different diet plans no matter how absurd it sounds.

You may or you may not copy these insane celebrity diets, the choice is really up to you.
